Each partner submits their own individual application. The form includes a field where you indicate your dance partner's name. Both partners need to apply — we evaluate the couple as a unit: technique, partnership quality, stage presence and physical compatibility.

A solo dance host is a single professional who dances socially with passengers on board. A host couple lives on the ship and leads group classes for passengers. Prime Line Agency places ballroom couples with major international cruise lines — demand for this position is consistent year-round. We also place artists in land-based productions including television shows, international tours, and theatre.

Most productions require both Standard disciplines (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz) and Latin disciplines (Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Paso Doble) at professional competition or show-dance level. Some productions focus on one discipline — requirements vary by client.

Contracts typically range from 4 to 9 months, though shorter fly-on/fly-off formats and longer placements are also available depending on the production and cruise line. Prime Line Agency will clarify all terms before any commitment is made.

The primary focus is performance. Some contracts include passenger workshops — short group sessions as part of the entertainment programme. Private lessons are sometimes available on board as an additional opportunity, with separate compensation paid directly to the artists. Exact duties and schedule are always confirmed in advance.
